A project management application for photographers that helps consolidate and manage shoots.

My role

I joined Shotlist as head of product from 2020–2022, where I led the end-to-end design process and launch of iOS and web applications. My role also included project management and close collaboration with engineering and product to create a solution that's new to the market.

Photographers use multiple platforms to communicate, manage, and deliver their projects. Shotlist solves this problem.

A shared space for teams to collaborate and access the same documents

Admins can invite collaborators to a shoot through a simple access link.

What I learned

One of the biggest lessons I learned from building an app from scratch is to scope the MVP down to the essentials. It's tempting to be optimistic and ship everything at once, but overbuilding early creates more problems than it solves.
